CLEVELAND- Fox 8 tracking a crime spree from inner city Cleveland to the suburbs.

More than 80 RTA bus shelters have been vandalized in the past few days, causing thousands of dollars in damages.

"It's awful," said Krystal McDowell, as she and her 4-year-old son were standing next to one of the bus shelters on Lorain in Cleveland Friday afternoon. "I didn't want my son to sit there with the glass broken."

Transit police are investigating. RTA officials say so far no one has been injured.

"I hope they catch who is doing this and it stops because it makes it difficult for those of us who use the buses," said Pat Hudock.

Anyone with information on the vandalism is asked to call transit police.
