Lake Erie Monsters take Game 2 of Calder Cup Finals

HERSHEY, Pennsylvania– The magic number is now two for the Lake Erie Monsters as they win for the 7th straight time, beating the Hershey Bears in Game 2 of the Calder Cup Finals Friday night.

The Monsters talked about getting off to a fast start in Game 2 and they did. Zach Werenski scored two minutes into the game. In the second period, the Monsters added to their lead; Oliver Bjorkstrand lit up the lamp and the Monsters lead was two.

Lake Erie scored twice in the second period. The final score was 5-3 and they lead the series 2-0.

Games 3, 4 and 5 will be at Quicken Loans Arena on June 6, 11 and 12.
