Thief hides in store until closing, steals $7,000 worth of cigarettes, police say

CLEVELAND – Police are looking for a man who they say hid inside a store until after it closed and then made off with thousands of dollars in cigarettes.

It happened on May 16 at the Dollar Paradise on West 65th Street. Employees did not notice that the man in the pictures was hiding in the back of the store when they closed for the night.

Once the store was empty, police say the suspect took money out of the cash registers as well as over $7,000 in various brands of cigarettes.
