Lake Erie Monsters win Game 2 over the Grand Rapids Griffins

CLEVELAND – The Lake Erie Monsters took a 2-0 series lead over the Grand Rapids Griffins with their win on Saturday.

They won Game 1, 3-2, in overtime and won Game 2, 4-3.

The Monsters came out of the first period with a 2-1 edge, but allowed the Griffins to score twice in the second period, to take a 3-2 lead.

The Monsters came back strong in the third period though, scoring two more goals to take the win.

Daniel Zaar scored the game-winner.

The Monsters now travel to Grand Rapids for Game 3 and 4 to attempt the sweep.
