Report: Johnny Manziel indicted by Dallas grand jury

DALLAS - KRLD in Dallas is reporting that a grand jury in Dallas has indicted Johnny Manziel on a misdemeanor assault charge.

The grand jury began reviewing the case this past Thursday.

Manziel, a former Cleveland Browns quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner, is accused of hitting his ex-girlfriend during a night out in January.

The ex-girlfriend, Colleen Crowley, said in court records that Manziel dragged her back into a car as she was trying to escape him, then hit her so hard that she temporarily lost hearing in one ear.

Earlier this week, Drew Rosenhaus dropped Johnny Manziel as a client.  Last week, Rosenhaus told Manziel to enter rehab or he would drop him.On Tuesday, Manziel was dropped.

The Browns released Manziel back in March.
