EUGENE, Oregon – An Oregon pet store owner is in trouble with the law after he used a unique form of payment for a prostitute.
According to KPTV, Nathan Allen McClain was arrested Thursday after police had several reports of theft at the Zany Zoo Pet Store in early March.
Police say $7,000 in Girl Scout donation money and a Galago primate named Gooey were stolen from the store.
Surveillance video showed that McClain had broken into his own store.
Police safely located Gooey with the prostitute and she handed the animal over. She is not facing charges.
She told police that McClain paid her with the donation money and gave Gooey as a tip.
Gooey is now safe and being taken care of.
McClain is facing several charges including patronizing a prostitute.
