CLEVELAND – Police have arrested a 13-year-old boy for robbing pizza delivery drivers at gunpoint.
The robberies happened in Cleveland last month, and police say the boy was arrested Saturday. After his arrest, the teenager confessed to two aggravated robberies and one attempted robbery, according to police.
“This is great work by our officers and detectives,” said Steve Loomis, police union president. “This is a scary situation. A 13-year-old robbing people at gunpoint.”
The one robbery happened on March 18. Police say the driver pulled up and the suspect ran up to the car and robbed him of money, pizza, cookies and his cell phone.
The suspect is being held at the juvenile detention center and expected in court this week.
