CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers are getting ready to take on the Detroit Pistons on Sunday in Game 1 of the NBA playoffs and northeast Ohio is “ALL IN to 16!!”
On Saturday, several Cavaliers players spoke with the media and talked about the expectations they have for themselves and their teammates.
“We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves. We have a tough opponent,” said Kevin Love.
“I know that they’re the 8 seed, but sometimes that can be a little misleading, They’re very well coached, they drill and run their stuff and it’s gonna be a tough battle for us.”
This is the third time the Cavaliers have gone into the playoffs as the 1 seed. This is the Piston’s first playoff appearance since the 2009-2010 season.
Kyrie Irving said he isn’t taking the playoffs for granted after missing a portion of the NBA Finals last year with a knee injury.
“I just feel like I’m in a good place,” Irving added.
The Cavaliers and Pistons play Game 1 Sunday in Cleveland at 3 p.m.
