Florida baseball coach allows team to name his baby after their winning season

ORLANDO, Florida – It all started a few months back, the Heritage High School baseball team was coming back from a 9-16 season and needed a little boost.

That’s when coach Rob Querry told his team; if you win 14 games, I’ll let you name my new baby.

According to TODAY.com, the team won their 14th game on Tuesday night.

Querry isn’t exactly sure if his wife Julia will go along with it, but for now she’s at least playing along.

The team even has a lot of meaning behind their name choice, Benjamin Smalls Querry.

It combines the names of two characters from one of the most popular baseball movies, Sandlot.
