GLENDALE, Ohio - A tense confrontation between a Maryland murder suspect and an Ohio police officer is caught on camera.
Glendale police officer Josh Hilling’s body camera captured the moments after a routine pat down takes a dangerous turn. Police said Pablo Aleman took a knife out of his waistband and advanced towards the officer; challenging Hilling to kill him.
Police said officer Hilling shot the suspect once in the stomach, but he would not stay down.
Prosecutors said Officer Hilling bravely showed “remarkable restraint."
Another police officer was able to get close enough to fire a taser that finally brought Aleman to the ground.
