LORAIN, Ohio -- At least four businesses in downtown Lorain were evacuated after a gas line was struck on West 5th and Broadway after 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Columbia Gas said crews worked with the fire department on the 8-inch damaged gas line.

The Lorain Fire Department said they completed their emergency repairs and shut off gas to the bank Tuesday afternoon. The gas company will do a complete repair on a routine basis.
