HOUSTON, Texas – Ethel Easter said she was crushed after listening to a recording from her recent hernia surgery.
According to Fox 26, her doctor originally told her she would have to wait months for surgery, and she told him she was too sick to wait.
His tone during their first conversation made her concerned, so she hid a recorder in her hair during the surgery.
Shortly after Easter fell asleep, you can hear the first comment.
“She’s a handful. She had some choice words for us in the clinic when we didn’t book her case in two weeks.”
Easter said nurses made comments about her belly button and another person referred to her as ‘Precious.’
The hospital sent Easter a letter saying they used this situation as a chance to remind staff to be mindful of their comments at all times.
