Lorain police investigate series of purse snatchings

LORAIN, Ohio-- The Lorain Police Department is asking for information after a series on purse snatchings over the last two weeks.

Two of the incidents happened this week in the area of Oberlin Avenue, Lorain police said. In both cases, the suspect took the victims' purses while in parking lots.

On March 24, a man with a knife walked up to a woman at the Dairy Mart at East 28th and Grove Avenue. The victim threw down her purse, and the suspect takes it before running away.
