MEDINA TOWNSHIP, Ohio — Medina Township police posted a warning on its Facebook page on Monday warning residents about someone posing as one of its officers.

According to the post, someone is claiming to be a Medina Township officer and making phone calls to get personal information.

Police say if you receive a call from someone claiming he’s Sgt. Todd Zieja, do not give him your personal information at this time.

Instead, you’re asked to call the dispatch non-emergency line at 330-723-5191 to verify whether or not the call was actually made by Sgt. Zieja.

Anyone who may have information on who is making the fraudulent calls is asked to please contact the Medina Township Police Department office at 330-723-1408.
