CLEVELAND– The third suspect in the murder of 5-month-old Aavielle Wakefield was taken into custody on Thursday.

Charles Caldwell, 30, turned himself in to detectives with his attorney, Cleveland police said.  He was wanted for aggravated murder. The FOX 8 I-Team first reported an arrest warrant was issued for the third suspect last month.

Wakefield was shot in the chest while in a car with her mother at East 145th Street and Spear Avenue on Oct. 1. Investigators said they believe the wrong car was targeted by the gunfire.

In November, authorities arrested 19-year-old Davon Holmes for aggravated murder in the baby’s death. Lawrence Hillard is charged with tampering with evidence in the case.
