CLEVELAND -- The Associated Press reports Hillary Clinton has won the Democratic presidential primary in Ohio.

Clinton was also the projected winner in Florida and North Carolina.

"You voted for our tomorrow to be better than our yesterday," Clinton said. She applauded Democratic rival Bernie Sanders for the campaign he's running during her speech Tuesday night.

"Our next president has to be ready to face three big tests. First, can you make make positive differences in people's lives? Second, can you keep us safe? Third, can you bring our country together again?" Clinton said.

Bernie Sanders' campaign strategist says the "first half of the process" toward winning the Democratic nomination is over and the campaign feels "very good about the calendar ahead."

"We are doing something very radical...We are telling the truth," Bernie said during a speech Tuesday night.
