LORAIN, Ohio– One person was killed and another was injured in a one-car crash in Lorain Sunday morning.

Joshua Saltis was driving a Honda Civic on Meister Road at about 4:26 a.m. when the car went left of center and off the roadway. Lorain police said the car hit a curb and drove through a front yard on Tressa Avenue before striking a flower bed.

Saltis, 25, of Lorain, was taken to Mercy Regional Medical, where he died Sunday evening.

His passenger, a 25-year-old Elyria man, was treated and released.

The Lorain Police Department said Saltis may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol while driving. The Lorain County Coroner’s Office will perform tests.

Saltis also did not have a valid driver’s license, police said.
