Child injured on Cleveland Metroparks toboggan chutes

STRONGVILLE – A child was injured on the Cleveland Metroparks toboggan chutes in the Mill Stream Run Reservation on Saturday night.

According to a statement from the Metroparks, the child was treated and released from Southwest General Health Center in Middleburg Heights after the accident.

Their statement read in part:

Cleveland Metroparks deeply regrets that an injury has occurred on its premises, and we have reached out to the child and his family to provide appropriate support and assistance.

The toboggan chute remained open on Sunday, the last day of seasonal operation.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated.

The Metroparks added that the safety of guests is their top priority.
