OHIO CITY – A Special Wish teamed up with Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream to give several kids and their families an awesome experience.

Many of the children have immunity issues and are not able to be around large crowds of people.

The Mitchell’s Homemade Ice Cream Headquarters in Ohio City opened early so the kids could enjoy a tour of the factory and some ice cream without worrying about their health.

“All of our wish kids love ice cream and how cool is it for them to have the entire place to themselves to see how the ice cream is made” says Jason Beudert, co-founder, A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter.

A Special Wish Foundation Cleveland Chapter grants wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses between birth and age 20. There are currently 55 wish children at the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital, University Hospitals Rainbows Babies and Children’s Hospital and The Ronald McDonald House.
