CLEVELAND-- The FOX 8 I-Team is investigating an outage in the 911 system that affected the city of Cleveland for 21 minutes.
The city said it found out later at least 12 calls to its 911 system went unanswered. It happened Thursday after 2 a.m.
Cuyahoga County said its 911 system also went out, affecting Lakewood, Parma, and Shaker Heights. But the county said no calls were missed from those areas.
The city and the county blame maintenance work on phone lines by AT&T.
A spokeswoman for AT&T told us she would look into this. We’ll have more later on FOX 8 News.
