CLEVELAND– The burger chain founded by the Wahlberg brothers announced on Thursday it is coming to Cleveland.

Walhburgers revealed plans to open more than 30 news stores across seven states, which will bring the total number of franchises to 118. There are six slated for Cleveland and Detroit, including one at the Greektown Casino to open this summer or fall.

Chef Paul Wahlberg and his celebrity brothers, Mark and Donnie, created Wahlburgers in 2011. The restaurant was even the subject of an A&E reality show by the same name.

“We are on the road to bringing Wahlburgers to a city near you,” said Mark Wahlberg, known for his roles in “The Fighter,” “Lone Survivor” and “The Departed.” “We’ve created this family business with a mission to welcome families and friends from around the world to a place where they can break bread, enjoy some great food and lots of laughs.”

Thursday’s announcement did not specify the exact locations or opening dates of the new restaurants.
