CLEVELAND – Kabron Norman, 42, was sentenced to life in prison on Friday for raping 6-year-old twin sisters in 2013.

According to the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office, Norman raped the girls while he babysat them and their older brother. They were the children of a family friend.

The 8-year-old brother witnessed the assault and told his mother.

Norman was indicted on 12 counts in November of 2014 and after two were dismissed, he was found guilty on 10 counts.

On Friday, Judge Joseph D. Russo sentenced Norman to 4 life terms, two of them to be served consecutively and he will have no chance of parole.

“Life without parole is a gift, compared to the trauma felt by these two six-year-old girls and the heartache felt by the jury. This jury witnessed one victim demonstrate her jaw being pried open in order to commit a sex act, an image that will forever be embedded in the memory of all who were present in the courtroom,” said Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Ronni Ducoff.
