ALLIANCE, OH – As part of an ongoing investigation into heroin trafficking in Alliance, the Alliance police department was able to seize a record-breaking amount of heroin Friday evening.

After searching two different homes, detectives seized about 50 grams of uncut heroin. That amount of heroin has a street value of $6,000 – $10,000 and is the largest heroin seizure ever in Alliance. There was one arrest made in the raids. Ghani Malik Khalifa-El (formerly Demetrius “Meech” Miles) was arrested for trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin  and criminal tools.

Alliance police report that their city has experienced numerous heroin related near-deaths over the past few months and that the fight to stop heroin trafficking will continue to be one of their top priorities

They are asking anyone with information on people selling heroin in Stark County to let them know. Tipsters can remain anonymous or police can keep them anonymous.
