2 teens shot, killed at Arizona high school
Two 15-year-old female students were killed in Friday morning’s shooting at Independence High School in Glendale, Arizona, Glendale police Officer Tracey Breeden said. A weapon was found near them, she said. “We don’t believe that there’s any suspects that are out there .. that we’re searching for,” Breeden said. The shooting happened at a covered patio area near the main building before 8 a.m., Breeden said.
‘Horrifying trick’ killing more unsuspecting drug users in NE Ohio
Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner Thomas Gilson warned the public Friday about a new trend in Northeast Ohio. Fentanyl is being sold in a pill form that resembles oxycodone. Both drugs are narcotics, but fentanyl is far more lethal, officials say, and can easily kill the unsuspecting user. Gilson suspects that an increase in fentanyl-related deaths may be due to this trend. Fentanyl-related deaths tripled from 2014 to 2015.
Man admits to taking bag of coins in burglary; police looking for victim
Macedonia police say a man has admitted to stealing a plastic bag full of coins and collectible bills from a garage, and they’re looking for the rightful owner. Police say the home was burglarized Thursday. The suspect said he went through an unlocked garage and found the bag in a corner of the garage. It contains coins like Canadian pennies and silver dollars. But anyone with information is asked to call Macedonia police.
Ford plans four new SUV models
Ford executives are betting car buyers can’t get enough of their SUVs and crossovers. At the Chicago auto show Ford Motors promised to come out with four completely new models in the next four years.It will fill out its SUV lineup by moving into additional segments with the new offerings, rather than replacing existing models. Ford gave no details about which segments the new models will compete in, but it said it expects to take aim at younger millennial car buyers, who have been slower than previous generations to buy new cars.
