Officials: All lanes reopened on Interstate 90 after crash

PAINESVILLE, Ohio-- According to Painesville fire, 17 people were injured in crashes on Interstate 90 in Lake County Wednesday afternoon. At least three are said to be in critical condition.

More than 15 semi-trucks and several cars were involved in a series of crashes along the highway.

Lake County Sheriff Daniel Dunlap originally told FOX 8 News that there were believed to be multiple fatalities in the crash. Dunlap said at least one person was ejected and trapped underneath a vehicle.

ODOT says all lanes of I-90 eastbound and westbound are now open, but traffic is moving slow.

Laketran said it sent two mobile warming station coach buses to the accident.
