CLEVELAND-- The Great American Rib Cook-Off is coming to an end after 24 years.

Live Nation announced on Tuesday it would not produce the cook-off and music festival this year.

“We loved producing the annual Rib Cook Off and celebrating the regions passion for BBQ and music,” said Barry Gabel, Sr., Vice President of Marketing and Sponsorship for Live Nation.

“The Live Nation Cleveland office will continue to bring the best concert attractions to Northeast Ohio and look forward to producing more regional events in the future," Gabel said in a statement.

The four-day event was typically held Memorial Day weekend at Jacob's Pavilion in the Flats. Last year, the Great American Rib Cook-Off featured musical acts America, Steel Panther and Michael Stanley & the Resonators.
