CLEVELAND-- The FOX 8 I TEAM has learned, for a second time, a device to reach into your bank account has been placed by crooks on the same ATM at an exclusive downtown Cleveland hotel.

Another skimmer has been found. Con artists put skimmers on ATM machines and gas pumps and more where you use credit cards or bank cards. The skimmers read and copy information from your cards so that thieves can dip into your accounts without you knowing it.

Now, in a matter of weeks, two skimmers have been found. They were made the exact same way and placed on the same ATM machine at the Renaissance Hotel. Both devices were discovered by alert hotel security workers and turned over to police.

The most recent case happened last week. The first happened in December.

A police report shows, in the latest case, the ATM was used by at least 5 innocent people while the skimmer was in place.

The I TEAM obtained security video of a suspect in the first case. He has not been caught. Now investigators are looking into all of the possible connections in the two cases.

The Cleveland Police Financial Crimes Unit is leading the investigation and getting federal agencies involved.
