Man dies after assault at bus stop, Cleveland police investigating

CLEVELAND – A 34-year-old man was assaulted on Thursday and died from his injuries at University Hospitals on Friday. His death is now being investigated as a homicide.

According to police, officers responded to a call at Lee Road and Miles Avenue for a man assaulted at a bus stop around 4:30 Thursday afternoon.

Police found the victim, Dontez Curlee, bleeding from his head and mouth. He was taken to University Hospitals and placed in the Intensive Care Unit with severe head trauma, passing away from his injuries the next day.

Police say the two suspects are black males and were wearing dark clothing.
