CLEVELAND – Indians reliever Bryan Shaw and the team agreed to a one-year contract on Thursday, thus avoiding arbitration.

Though the terms were not disclosed, it’s believed he signed for 2.75 million.

Shaw appeared in 74 games, and totaled 64 innings and posted a 3-3 record last season with the Indians. He struck out 54 and registered a 2.95 era.

The 2016 home opener for the Indians is April 4 against the Boston Red Sox.
