Harlem Globetrotter great Meadowlark Lemon dies at 83

Meadowlark Lemon, one of the most famous members of the Harlem Globetrotters, has passed away.

New York Times reports that Lemon’s wife confirmed his death. He was 83.

Lemon was known as “Clown Prince” because of his incredible basketball tricks on the court, playing for nearly 25 years.

He retired and became an ordained minister and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.

The Harlem Globetrotters are actually in Cleveland Monday, bringing their family show to Quicken Loans Arena.
