Three arrested in Barberton jewelry store theft

BARBERTON, Ohio– One adult and two juveniles were arrested following a break-in at a Barberton jewelry store and pawn shop.

It happened at Sydmor’s Jewelry on Second Street Northwest at about 2 a.m. Thursday.

Barberton police said they caught one suspect running by Lake Anna and used that person’s cellphone to locate two others. Officers also recovered three guns that were stolen from the store.

Tyrell King, 18, was charged with breaking and entering, and theft.

According to police, the three were identified as possible gang members from Akron.
