Man crashes stolen box truck into Wooster cemetery, police say

WOOSTER, Ohio– The man who police say stole a box truck then crashed it into a Wooster cemetery is facing charges.

Jeremy Butler, of Wooster, is charged with aggravated robbery, aggravated menacing, obstructing official business and failure to comply.

Wooster police said the 37-year-old was attacking the owner of D+S Distribution early Wednesday morning and when officers arrived, he drove off in a box truck.

After a police chase, Butler crashed into a cemetery, where he was arrested. According to police, he hit several headstones.

Butler was taken to the Wayne County Jail and will be arraigned Thursday morning.
