LORAIN COUNTY, Ohio -- Nicolas Cage posed for a photo with the step-father of a missing Brooklyn girl this week.

Cage is in the area filming a movie in Lorain County. He posed for the photo with the step-father of Alexis Boroviak, 15. In it, Cage can be seen holding a missing person flier for the teen.

Cage said he wants to help get the word out in any way he can.

Community activist Angel Arroyo facilitated the meeting.

"We took the picture, he said he hopes for the best and good luck," said Arroyo. "He was truly a nice guy, nothing major. Just trying to do whatever we can to get her story out there."

Boroviak disappeared the evening of Nov. 8 when she went outside to tie out the family dog.

Police said earlier this week that while Boroviak's location is unknown, they've received information suggesting she planned to run away.

Alexis was last seen wearing a black hooded-sweatshirt, lavender pajama pants and gray Nike shoes. She may be wearing glasses.

Anyone with information on Boroviak’s whereabouts should call the Brooklyn Police Department at 216-749-1234.
