CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio - Chef Tim Bando owns Grove Hill Restaurant in Chagrin Falls and it is one of over 80 independently owned restaurants participating in Cleveland Restaurant Week.
Chef Bando shared his recipe for Cider Braised Pork Shoulder made with apples and lots of Fall spices with Fox 8's Kristi Capel and he says this recipe is so easy to make because you literally throw it all together and bake it all day at a low temperature.

Cider Braised Pork Shoulder with Apples and Fall Spices
3 lb. pork shoulder
2 sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into big chunks
4 small red skin potatoes
1 large onion quartered
2 Honeycrisp apples, quartered
1/2 head of cabbage
5 gloves garlic
2 large and 4 small bay leaves
10 black peppercorns
3 whole allspice berries
1/2 tsp ground allspice
Salt and pepper
1 pint apple cider
1 pint cider vinegar
Sear in hot pan using canola oil
Put everything in a roasting pan except apples
Bake 2 1/2 hours at 300-degrees uncovered
The last 30 minutes add apples
