RICHFIELD, Ohio-- A creepy encounter at a local fast food restaurant has police in two communities trying to identify a suspect.

Richfield police posted photos of the man, taken from surveillance camera’s near the drive-thru, on their Facebook page Tuesday afternoon.

Det. Amy Ellis said the incident happened at about 11:20 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 26 at the Wheatley Road McDonalds near Interstate 77. But there was a delay in sharing the information because the initial report was filed in Bath Township, where the victim lives.

The man is accused of making extremely lewd remarks to a 17-year-old female employee, and then trying to inappropriately touch her hands while paying for his order.

According to the police report, the man then told  the girl, “She had cold hands but a warm heart and she would soon learn what that meant.”

The man then reportedly waited until the girl finished her shift and followed her home to Bath Township.

“She was extremely upset,” Ellis said, “Although he did not pull into her driveway, she feels he definitely followed her home to see where she lives.”

Police in both Richfield and Bath are looking for the man.

Ellis said they need to know if this is a predator with a much bigger plan or the improper actions of an ill-mannered man.

The images are grainy, but the victim described the man as heavy set, in his mid 50s with gray hair and facial hair.

Anyone with information should call Det. Ellis at 330-659-9500.
