Law director arrested on drug charges loses Brooklyn mayoral race

BROOKLYN, Ohio- Brooklyn Law Director Scott Claussen had an early lead in the Brooklyn mayoral race, but ended up losing.

Katherine A. Gallagher won with 30 percent of the votes, followed by Kathleen Pucci with 26 percent, Mary Lee Bowen with 20 percent and Claussen with 19 percent.

Claussen, who is on unpaid administrative leave, pleaded not guilty to drug possession charges last week. He was arrested as part of an undercover narcotics bust in Seven Hills, along with attorney Bryan Byrne.

Investigators said Claussen and Byrne were, “Cutting up pills of oxycodone with credit cards.”
