CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A four-year-old boy is in stable condition after he was shot in the shoulder Wednesday night, and police are trying to determine who pulled the trigger.

The boy is at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospitals. He was shot in the shoulder just before 5:30 p.m. at a home on Bliss Avenue.

When emergency crews arrived, the boy's father told them it happened during a drive-by shooting. But police could tell right away that wasn't true.

The father then said one of the four other children in the home had gotten a hold of a gun and accidentally shot the little boy.

The father's story kept changing, police said, and the man is now in custody while they try to figure it out.

The father was arrested on weapons and child endangering charges. Investigators will perform residue tests to find out who in the house fired the gun.
