Man makes off with cash, lottery tickets in gas station robbery

MENTOR, Ohio — Police are investigating after a man armed with a knife robbed a gas station of cash and lottery tickets in Mentor early Tuesday.

According to Mentor police, it happened at around 1:30 a.m. at BP, 8360 Broadmoor Road.

The suspect appeared to be wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans, white and black athletic shoes, a red bandanna and a black hat.

After taking the cash and tickets, he fled northbound from the store on foot.

The clerk was unharmed.
