RICHFIELD, Ohio- The man arrested during a raid at Richfield Mayor Bobbie Beshara's house was charged with child porn Wednesday morning.

The FBI searched the mayor's house on West Streetsboro Road on Wednesday and seized evidence in the case against Khalid Farmer Black. The FBI said the investigation has nothing to do with Beshara or her office.

Black is Beshara's son-in-law.

Black faces counts of attempting to distribute and access child pornography, the FBI said in a news release.  The agency also said Black admitted to viewing child porn. He appeared in court at noon.

Beshara released the following statement:

"I am absolutely appalled at the information that came out in court today regarding my son-in-law. Such actions are inexcusable. This matter is now in the hands of the criminal justice system. I continue to fully cooperate with the authorities.

"This is an incredibly difficult time for our family. Now, as a mother, my focus is to give my daughter all the support she needs."
