MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS – The Fox 8 I-Team has learned a popular restaurant owner has been arrested on a rape charge.

Parma police confirm Pat Potopsky, who owns the Brew Garden in Middleburg Heights, was arrested near his home this morning.

The 50-year-old is facing one charge of felony rape.

Police say the alleged rape happened at a home in Parma last month.

Detectives will not say how Potopsky knew the victim.

“This investigation is ongoing and detectives are in the process of locating additional potential victims at this time,” according to a statement released by Parma Sgt. Kevin Riley.

Potopsky is expected in court Thursday morning to face the charge. A bond is expected to be set at that time.

A manager at the Brew Garden told Fox 8 she was not aware of the owner’s arrest and said the restaurant remains open.
