Possible tornado causes minor damage in Vermilion, no one injured

VERMILION, Ohio - Authorities in Vermilion are currently cleaning up damage after a possible tornado touched down in their area.

According to the Vermilion Police Department, the possible tornado touched down just after 5 p.m. at the City of Vermilion Service Center on Devin Drive.

The building has several vehicles for the city, but none of them appear to be damaged.

Part of the roof was pulled off and could be seen flying in the air. No one was injured.

"We thought that something crashed through the door," Zachary Boggs said.
Boggs was skateboarding near the service center building minutes before the weather came through.

The Vermilion Fire Department is currently on the scene cleaning up the damage.

The National Weather Service has been notified about the incident.

On Friday, a cold-air funnel was spotted in Westlake. Some residents believed it was a funnel cloud.
