ERIE COUNTY, OHIO –  A Huron man is under arrest after he was involved in two car crashes in one night…one crash involving a train.

It started Saturday evening, when Jameson Wray, 26, drove his car onto a set of railroad tracks  and got it stuck there. The crossing was closed to vehicle traffic due to repairs being made on it. After getting his car stuck, he borrowed another car to try to push it off the rails. But he drove the second car into a ditch on the side of the tracks. In the meantime, a train had smashed into Wray’s car.

Police officers administered sobriety tests at the scene and noted on their report that, “Jameson was polite and cooperative during the course of the incident and stated he had made several mistakes.”

Wray was arrested and charged with operating a vehicle under the influence, prohibited concentration, driving under suspension and driving on a closed roadway. He is scheduled to appear in Vermilion Municipal Court Tuesday morning.
