Man stabbed to death over card game in Cleveland

CLEVELAND – A card game gone wrong ended in the death of  a Cleveland man Saturday evening.

According to Cleveland Homicide detectives, Therman Townsend, 29, got into an argument with George Gunn over a card game in a home on Coath Avenue at around 5 p.m. Saturday. Gunn allegedly stabbed the victim and then left the scene.

When police arrived, they were able to get a description of Gunn and found him walking in the area a short time later. He was arrested and is in custody.

Townsend was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died from the stab wounds.
