The note given to the officer from the woman.

ALPHARETTA, Georgia – One police officer received a nice surprise after writing a Georgia woman a speeding ticket on Friday.

According to WSB, the woman wanted to say thanks despite getting a citation.

After getting the citation, the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said that the woman gave the note to the officer after signing the back of the ticket.

She drove away after handing the officer the note.

The note said the following:

Mr. Officer,

Shame on me for speeding. There is a lot of publicity (negative) about police officers and your job is very dangerous. I want you to know that my family and I feel very blessed to be protected by wonderful people like you. So Thank You!

Caring Alpharetta resident!
