Van hits 16-year-old Euclid boy then flees, police say

EUCLID, Ohio- A 16-year-old was hit by a van on his way to school in Euclid Monday morning.

The teen was crossing the road in a construction area on East 222nd Street at about 7:30 a.m. when a mini van hit him, Euclid police said. According to Lt. Mitch Houser, the driver of the blue Ford van did not stop.

The 16-year-old suffered an injury to his leg and was taken to an area hospital.
