Off-duty firefighter finds missing Bath Township man

BATH TOWNSHIP, Ohio- A Bath Township man missing since Saturday was located Monday morning.

Police said Lonnie Curtis was last seen around 8 a.m. leaving his home on Candlewood Lane. More than a hundred people spent 11 hours searching on Sunday, focusing their efforts on the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Bath Police Chief Michael McNeely said a Fox 8 viewer saw Curtis’ photo on the news, then spotted the man in the area of Ira and Martin roads. The good Samaritan and off-duty firefighter notified police.

Curtis is safe and was evaluated by paramedics.
