Two suspects pistol-whip man during Tremont carjacking

CLEVELAND- A 43-year-old man was attacked and robbed in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

It happened just after midnight on Thurman Avenue near Literary Road.

According to the police report, the victim had just parked his car when two men with guns walked up to him. The suspects pistol-whipped the victim and ordered him to the ground.

Police said they took the man’s wallet, keys and phone, then got away in his car. Officers searched the area, but did not locate the suspects.

Less than three weeks ago, two carjackings were reported in Tremont in two days. In both cases, victims told police they were attacked by two armed men.
