Marshals arrest suspected serial bank robber in Euclid

EUCLID, Ohio- U.S. Marshals arrested a 21-year-old man suspected of robbing three banks at a restaurant in Euclid early Thursday morning.

Eastlake police said Cory Cooper, of East Cleveland, is accused of robbing banks in Eastlake, Mentor and Bay Village. He’s being held at the Eastlake City Jail on $100,000 cash bond.

“The cooperation between the various federal, state and local agencies was instrumental in ending this crime spree and bringing the fugitive to justice,” U.S. Marshal Peter ElliottĀ  said in a news release on Thursday.

According to U.S. Marshals, authorities conducted nearly 100 interviews during the investigation, which lead to Cooper’s arrest at about 3 a.m. on Euclid Avenue.
