CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The first Browns preseason game will take place in Cleveland tonight -- the brown and orange will open up against the Washington Redskins.

For Browns fans, it will be a first look at first-round pick Danny Shelton lining up against another team.

Shelton, who, this early in his career, is starting to hear comparisons to former Ravens great Haloti Ngata, is excited to line up and see just how far along he has come in his first training camp.

"I'm going to go out there, get a feel for the team, and I'm going to play my ball," he said.

Johnny Manziel, who sat out practice Tuesday, is expected to play. It's also the first time Colt McCoy will be back at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Redskins expect to play their starters for about one quarter in the game.

Redskins Coach Jay Gruden says those plans could change depending on how the offense fares.

Gruden says tight end Logan Paulsen could have surgery on his injured right big toe. Paulsen and fellow tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) will both miss the game due to injuries.

Meanwhile, fans will be greeted with new renovations at FirstEnergy Stadium. There are brighter concourses and Cleveland artwork scattered throughout the stadium. There is also more local cuisine from chefs like Jonathon Sawyer, Rocco Whelan and Chris Hodgson.

Kick-off is set for 8 p.m.
