Baby delivered after mother’s murder passes away

CLEVELAND -  The baby girl who was delivered after her pregnant mother was shot to death has now lost her life.

Police were called out Tuesday July 28th to East 114th Street in Cleveland for a shooting. It was there they found Christian (Chrissy) Njorodge, 34, of East Cleveland,  shot in the head. Njorodge, who was six months pregnant, died at the hospital. The suspected shooter, Chris Scruggs, 32,  was her fiance and high school sweetheart. He died later at a hospital.

The baby girl, Emma Njorodge, was born three months premature by Cesarean Section at Metrohealth Medical Center. She passed away yesterday. Her death has been called a suspected homicide.
